Forest of Eversley Trust

The Forest of Eversley is a largely undeveloped rural area with a special character and ecological value arising from its historical development. Situated in north-east Hampshire and bounded to the north and the west respectively by the Rivers Blackwater and Whitewater, it stretches from Hawley to Heckfield and covers some 6500 hectares. In 1989 it was designated by Hampshire County Council as a Countryside Heritage Area.

Relatively undiscovered, it also contains a wealth of historical interest, including prehistoric sites and some important and very attractive buildings and landscapes. Its varied and largely unspoilt scenery also provides potential for a wide range of recreational and educational activities.

The Forest of Eversley Trust was formed in 1992 with the help of Hart District and Hampshire Country Councils as a Company limited by guarantee and having no share capital. It is also a registered charity. It is run entirely by volunteers, and supported by grants and subscriptions from a wide membership of Parish Councils, Local Societies, and individuals.
